Canceling Orders

Cancellations and Changes - Instructions.

If you need to cancel or make changes to an order you must contact our customer care team within 24 hours. Some orders ship the same day, so we need to know as soon as possible!

Calling in or requesting a cancellation does not guarantee your order can be cancelled or changed as it may have already been picked or shipped by DecorOverstock.com or the original manufacturer.

For refunds after this point, please follow the "Return Procedures" that have been created for guidance, as your order will already be in process thanks to our quick shipping policy!

General Return / Refund Policies & Procedures

At DecorOverstock.com we are committed to your complete satisfaction in terms of both the quality of our products and of our customer service!

If your product is received by you damaged in any way, you must notify us within 3 days of receipt.

Please write "Received Damaged" in the subject box and we will email you with additional instructions within 24-48 hours. Please read our "Damaged Products / Defective Items / Wrong items sent" area.

If the box appears to have obvious visible damages, the easiest method is for you to REFUSE the delivery and let the shipper deal with their problem!

In this case, please notify us immediately of the situation by email at DecorOverstock@DecorOverstock.com. Please write in the subject box "Refused damaged Shipment".

Otherwise, you have the full 14 days to return your purchase by following our easy return Instructions:

Return / Refund Policies - Instructions:

You may return products anytime within 14 days of receiving your order.

After 14 days we no longer accept returned merchandise for any reason!

Due to the nature of our business dealing in "closeouts & overstocks", ALL RETURNS will incur a 25% restocking fee and the original shipping cost.

Both these "costs" will be deducted from your refund.

All returned products must be unused (e.g. items cannot be damaged or altered) and in their original packaging!!!

We cannot accept returned items that are not in their original packaging or altered in anyway!

You must contact our customer care team to report your return within 14 days of receiving the product.

You will be required to pay the shipping costs for any items that are returned to us!

Any items that are returned to us that do not follow our "return guidelines" will not be processed and no credit or refund will be issued!

All unauthorized returns will be refused! Returned merchandise will NOT be accepted without a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) issued from our customer service personnel.

Items marked as *Closeouts* are not eligible for return! Again, all items in the "Closeouts" category of our website are final sale only - No RETURNS!

After your returned item is received at our location, it will be inspected, usually within 72 hours of receiving it.

Refunds made to your credit card will be applied within 7 - 14 business days. Please be aware that your credit card company may take up to an additional 10 days to apply this refund from us.

Furniture, Lighting, and Custom Items

Because many of these items are made to order, custom pieces are not returnable or refundable. Custom orders include (but are not limited to) any and all furniture items. If you are uncertain if what you are ordering is considered custom, please contact us to verify. You have up to 24 hours from the date the order was placed to cancel a custom order and to have the amount refunded to your credit card. After 24 hours custom orders are non-refundable. Upon delivery, please take time to inspect all freight shipped furniture items carefully for any damage that may have occurred in transit and contact us immediately. Claims against damaged items must be made within 3 business days. Unfortunately, claims made after the 3 business day window will not be accepted and are unable to be returned. Please refer to our vendor warranties for specific information on individual policies.

If for any reason your custom furniture piece does not arrive with the specifications that you selected when ordering, DecorOverstock reserves the right to have the item or items replaced and reshipped at no additional charge to you. You should contact us immediately if this occurs so that we can get the replacement in the works as soon as possible. While the manufacturers do their best to ensure excellent packaging; occasionally glass and mirror could get damaged at the hands of a delivery carrier in transit. Items received with broken glass ARE NOT considered defective products. DecorOverstock.com and the manufacturer reserve the right to replace the glass or mirror as quickly as possible. In these cases, you can contact our customer service department to request replacement glass to be sent to you at no additional cost.

DecorOverstock does everything possible to assure a smooth and prompt delivery of your furniture and custom items. However, be aware and consider that there are circumstances out of our control that may arise and result in a delay in the production or delivery of your items. We do our best to give accurate lead times for each furniture manufacturer but estimated lead times are not a guarantee of a specific delivery date. We welcome your inquiries as the estimated delivery time approaches and we can follow up to give you a more specific idea of your ship date at that time.

We act as your liaison to best assist you in a prompt delivery but again, there are variables that are out of our control as we are considered a third party. We know you'll enjoy the product that is made especially for you!

Color note: Because every computer monitor displays color differently, we cannot be responsible for variations between the actual product color and how it is displayed on your screen.

Damaged / Defective / Wrong item sent - Instructions

DEFECTIVE PRODUCTS MAY NOT BE RETURNED FOR REFUND, REPLACEMENT ONLY!

You must contact our customer care team to report the problem / defect within 3 days of receiving the product.

Depending on the order, please keep in mind that we will ask you to send us a picture and ship the product back to us!

With regard to items that are damaged / defective / or "wrong item sent" - DecorOverstock will issue a call tag and RMA for the item/s.

After you have received the call tag & RMA, simply place the tag or "label" on the item (in the original packaging) and our carrier will pick it up at no cost to you! That's it!

Once we have registered your complaint (must be done within 4 days) and received your returned product, a full refund will be provided to the credit card that was originally used or to your paypal account.

Exchanges

Generally, DecorOverstock does NOT offer exchanges!

If you have ordered and received an item/s that does not work for you, simply refer to our "return" policy.

NOTE: Only items that are damaged in transit or items not matching the online order will be exchanged for the same or correct items.
